Marquez Tree Care takes pride in being there for our customers, particularly in critical situations. If you encounter a tree care emergency, characterized by a severe threat to individuals or property, don't hesitate to reach out to us. In such instances, we promptly dispatch a team to evaluate the situation, collaborating with other necessary services (such as electrical and roofing professionals) to ensure immediate safety. Whether it's after regular hours or during off-peak times, we take necessary steps to secure the area until we can return to complete the job. Our billing for these situations is hourly.
For instance, if a tree limb falls on a roof and poses a hazard, especially in adverse weather conditions, we conduct an assessment and promptly remove the perilous limb. This allows roofers to patch up the affected area. Subsequently, on the next available day, we return to complete the cleanup or remove any remaining debris.
At Marquez Tree Care, we understand the urgency of addressing tree care emergencies and are dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions to ensure the safety of both individuals and property.

UPDATE: May 18th, 2024 was a complete success! The numbers are in: We had 69 volunteers plus the dedicated staff at the cemetery from 14 organizations, along with several community members, who came together for the Veteran's Cemetery Cleanup. Thanks to everyone’s hard work, we completed all planned projects in record time. We cleaned approximately 2,900 headstones, the multiple columbariums , the memory walk, and the monuments. Additionally, we applied a fresh layer of mulch to eight flower beds, deep-cleaned another, and weeded multiple shrubs and plants. Our volunteers also performed annual maintenance on 24 trees, including removing deadwood, trimming suckers, structure pruning, and raising branches as needed.
A special team cleaned out a ditch area that has been a challenge due to mud and overgrown weeds, a project we’ve been tackling for several visits. Overall, it was an incredibly productive day, allowing us to complete months' worth of projects in a single event. The day-to-day demands often make it difficult to address these seemingly simple tasks, so having a focused day with so many volunteers was invaluable.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who participated. Your dedication and hard work made this day a success. We also want to thank the cemetery staff for their unwavering commitment. Many of them have served in the military themselves, making their contribution even more meaningful.
We feel truly blessed to have had this opportunity and look forward to continuing our efforts to honor our service members. This cleanup is just a small token of our gratitude for their immense sacrifices. Thank you all!

November 2022, Marquez Tree Care embarked on a heartfelt mission to support our local veterans' cemetery. With just a small group of dedicated volunteers, we took on the task of helping the staff in caring for the trees, grounds, and the memory of our heroes.
During their time at the cemetery, they had a chance to speak with the hardworking staff and learned about the incredible effort required to maintain the grounds to the highest standards. They also discovered an ongoing list of essential projects that needed attention to preserve the sacred resting place of our veterans.
As Spring arrived, Marquez Tree Care organized another volunteer day to prepare for Memorial Day, and this time, they brought even more volunteers with them including Hearts BBQ, Veterans Lawn Care, Veterans Solar Panel Cleaning, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Abilene Hockey, VFW, Abilene ROTC and other organizations along with individuals. Their collective efforts resulted in the completion of 25 tree projects, cleaning of over 1800 headstones, and the cleaning and re-mulching of 7 large flower beds. To top it off, they made sure to provide lunch and refreshments for all the wonderful volunteers who joined them.
We plan on doing this work twice a year before Memorial day and Veterans day.
